For my senior thesis Media Studies capstone project at Pitzer College, I served as Director, Producer, Editor, and Creative Lead on a six-minute short film, culminating my undergraduate studies.

The project integrated both practice and theory, including a 10-page academic paper about film theory research directly related to the film. I managed all aspects of production, scheduling, logistics, post-production, and organized the final screening, which drew over 300 attendees—an unprecedented turnout for a student film.

Since its release in May, the film has screened at multiple film festivals across the San Francisco Bay Area.

Process & Production

Pre-Production

Production

Post-Production

Developed the story and shot list, assembled the crew, and created a master production schedule using Google Sheets to track locations, cast availability, and logistics.

Led a three-day shoot, managing permits, on-set logistics, and contingency planning while directing cast and crew.

Edited the film in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, completing color grading and final delivery for festival submissions.

Film Screening

I organized and promoted the end-of-semester capstone screening, designing graphics using Photoshop and Canva and leading outreach efforts that resulted in 350+ attendees, the largest turnout for a student screening.
